Walking into the building for the first time after the holidays.
But then you remember you didn’t actually do any work over the break.
Trying to find your new classes (if you weren’t here as an undergrad).
Taking your first class outside of the department and being confronted with different ontological and epistemological views.
Taking that class alone and everyone else seems to be friends.
Doing that awkward introduce yourself ice breaker thing…
Two words: textbook prices.
And then this…
Freezing your butt off walking to class.
Shaking off the holiday brain fog and adjusting to new classes.
How it feels to work on your thesis at times…
When you just can’t decide when your office hours should be…
New year resolutions at the beginning of the year.
